About the Artist

Janet Loomis
Jewelry designer / Instructor
A Denver native, Janet is currently living southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. 
She enjoys working in many mediums, often incorporating techniques and materials 
from other art disciplines into her assemblage jewelry pieces. Drawing from a strong interest in science, natural history and historical art and artifacts, her work often features a creative combination of metals, minerals, fossils, gemstones, textiles and/or historic objects, using traditional and innovative techniques.
  
For more than a decade, Janet has shared the technical skills she's developed with others in her community through a variety of online tutorials, technical workshops and college classes. 

She is the author of numerous articles for publications with international circulation.
